The partners in Lone Star have established a Sale & Purchase and Period Chartering Department in the Houston in order to service our local clients long term needs. The team consists of a core of three brokers with diverse backgrounds from Shipbrokering, Chartering, S&P and Shipowning. Due to the team's diverse of experience and long exposure to Shipping projects, we are able to quickly understand the key issues in a Shipping project and identify where we can add value for our client.
Presently, the team covers all types of vessels and cargoes in the tanker industry including Crude, Dirty Petroleum Products, Clean Petroleum Product, Chemicals, LPG, LNG and CNG. Due to the overlapping nature of many Shipping and Offshore projects we work closely with our offshore affiliate Platou USA which we share office space with.
A very important aspect in our services is the ability to undertake in-depth market analyses and to follow them up by identifying interesting market opportunities for our clients, in the period, second hand and newbuilding market. This is achieved by combining the resources and knowledge within Lone Star R.S. Platou and other R.S. Platou's offices worldwide.
