We have extensive chartering experience based on several hundred spot and long-term vessel charter contracts on a worldwide basis.
We provide worldwide assistance in scrutinizing the various markets, presenting both technical and commercial solutions to benefit our clients.
Sale and Purchase:
As brokers, we have acted in the sale of over 300 second hand supply vessels on a world wide basis. We also offer valuation services for owners, banks and investors.
Newbuildings and Conversions:
Since the 1970s, R.S. Platou Offshore has been involved in contracting in excess of 350 newbuildings of all types of offshore support vessels on behalf of owners worldwide. We continue to take part in developing different vessel designs such as several Ulstein (UT) designs.
Construction units:
We have a group dedicated to the market for constructions units. We can assist with newbuildings, chartering, market research and sale and purchase of pipe laying, well intervention, cable laying, diving support and accomodation vessels.
Market Analysis:
Our database is continuously updated and we can assist clients with custom-made market, commercial and technical reports. In addition, we publish the monthly Monthly Supply Report and Weekly North Sea Spot Rates. New readers may be granted access to these reports on request.
